In a city like Berlin, even standing still, the world flow around you.
Collect-Connect wants to be confronted with this phenomenon, try to log off to create new connections.
Only 580 km separate us from the destination. So let's start the day with calm, with a hearty breakfast in Konditorei.

We arrive in Monaco at 20 o'clock and visit the city at night. Let's go to sleep after a typical Bavarian dinner.

We're arrived in Linz and with us the collection of objects during our trip. Every object contains an own history connected with the place, with the city and the people that live in it.
One object was forgot or lost, probably someone is looking for it, or probably the object was thrown away.
From the dematerialization and recomposition of this objects, we will build one big object, one "filo di Arianna" an element of connection not only a physical connection but also emotional connection.
There are still two bottles, one full and one empty.
Here we can't resist and we launch us in architectures, buildings, history, construction sites.
Is in edge side of one construction site that we find a double meter made of wood and one old coloured umbrella.
It is in ferment, mainly real estate...is how appear to us the city of Bratislava. A couple that walk on a street paved with stones, shops, bars that make us think to the "Milano da bere".
But you can find traditional stalls, an old man that uses a whip, some colored papers used for a children's workshop.... coloured papers that we collect.
And a big glass.
Tangle of cars in Prag.
On the immaculate square of the castle of the old city, the wind drag a plastic's green bag: it is our, like the newspaper found on the path in Malastrana's park. Here, like in Dresden, walk to "Real Prag" permit us find, long the Elbe, a children's sock and on the way back a armchair.
Arrived in Dresden, the first element that catch our attention is the traffic light, an old inheritance of the DDR, bring us to the center of the annual exposition of the Art's Accademy. Immediately out an cartel made of paperboard and pendent from a public lighting pole, with a write up REINA ... it's our first object.
We move from the storic city to what the young people call the "Real Dresden". A dancing night through the city's streets. We come back with a bag filled with a lot of beer's caps and one old jersey.
First stop: Kassel. The perception of the city is strongly conditioned from the hour, infact the time of arrive offer to us an obscure and foggy city. Big empty spaces, luminous shop windows and dummies that look at us... but nobody. We found an much interesting object, an abbandoned stroller. The dark atmosphere induce us to not take it, we prove a sense of inquietudine. Only some natural elements attract our interest and our simpaty. We pick up some thorny little balls that contain inside some nuts.
Second stop: Weimar. Without have jet an idea of the place, we found a big wood with some electrical circuits. We visit the city where born the Bauhaus, Goethe, Schiller …. and we came back with a big branch
To make the project possible, we need some things.
For the connection of the two rivers, one river must move towards the other. This afternoon we taken a little of Rhein, he will be with us for all the trip.
The second thing that we need is the camper for moving us and the Rhein toward Linz. In the picture there's the camper before the make up.
Tomorrow is the big day.
When we will arrive in Linz, there will be Ars Electronica 2009
Our installation, probably, will be placed in the space between the three campers of the Migrating Art Academies 2008-2010
This is the path that the KHM's camper will follow. The trip begins the 25 of August and ends in Linz the 2 of September. Forecast of stop in Kassel, Weimar, Dresden, Praha, Brno, Bratislava, Wien, Linz.
The mobile laboratory from Cologne to Linz is an opportunity to transform our trip in a virtual connection.
Cologne a German city crossed the Rhine, through this river, the city is in "front" at the North Sea.
Linz an Austrian city crossed by the Danube River, through this river, the city is in "front" at the Black Sea.
The two major rivers, among the largest in Europe, along their path are affected from different cultural realities, cities and states, they absorb stories and taking objects and debris to spill into the sea.
We want to become a river! Along our journey from Cologne to Linz we want collect objects, feelings and experiences. At each stop we will collect the material that we will find the place (wood, plastic waste, pieces of iron ...) and once arrived in Linz with the material collected will construct a shelter in which you can tell/see/watch our journey.
We want to create a kind of imagination through the maze connecting the two rivers, the two seas (the North and Black) and consequently all the European countries crossed by the two rivers.
